Copies of papers relating to the suit of Johan [i.e. Joannes] de Laet against Toussaint Muyssart [i.e. Toussaint Muyssart], copied in 1855 but documents date from 1630 and 1652-1658. The suit was probably carried on by de Laet's heirs after his death in 1649 and most likely relates to the prolific and protracted litigation surrounding the management and revenues of Rensselaerswyck in which de Laet and Muyssart were co-owners of one share. Includes letter of presentation from J.A. de Zwann.
